Burkhan Khaldun Mountai

Burkhan Khaldun Mountai

Burkhan Khaldun Mountain is considered to be the birthplace of Chinggis Khaan, as well as one of the rumored locations of his tomb.

Burkhan Khaldun Mountain is not only a prime example of the ancient and medieval traditions of sacred sites and rituals in Mongolia, but it is also a great sacred mountain that is venerated at the state level in Mongolia in the 20th century. Burkhan Khaldun is home to the Great Forbidden Precinct, the burial site of the great khans of Mongolia. Burkhan Khaldun is one of the prominent peaks of the Khentii mountain range, which stretches for thousands of kilometers. The summit of the mountain has a vast, flat area. In the middle of this area, there is a platform that almost seems to be man-made.
