You`ll visit historic sites from 13th century and Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape –UNESCO World Heritage Centre which includes Kharkhorum, the 13th century capital of Great Mongolian Empire. Monglolia is famous for being the homeland of Chinggis Khaan. The Orkhon valley has a rich cultural heritage, such as burial mounds, rare and precious monuments, inscribed monuments, inscriptions and archaeological findings that vividly show the culture of pastoral nomads from ancient times.
Erdene Zuu Monastery, ”Jewel Temple”, was built in the 16th century. It’s certainly the oldest Buddhist monastery of Mongolia and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in the category “cultural landscape of Orkhon Valley”. Erdenezuu Monastery was built on the site of the old Mongolian capital Kharakhorum using some of the building materials of the ruined city today, Erdene Zuu remains an active Buddhist monastery, and at the same time a museum open to travelers.This destination offers you a good walk around its area visiting the temples. Furthermore, you can also visit the Kharkhorin Museum with findings from the ancient capital.
Mongolia is home to the Mongolian wild horse known as a Perzevalski horse (takhi). Takhi horse is last truly wild horse.In 1992 wild horses were successfully reintroduced in Hustai mountains. You can see deer, ibex, marmosets and birds of pray in Hustai NP.
The camels in Mongolia are Bactrian and have two humps. The Bayan Gobi is the perfect place to experience all the fun of camels which are surprisingly comfortable as they walk slowly and gently, and we will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Beautiful scenery and exhilarating riding - a wonderful combination! During the trip, you will meet pastoral nomadic families and see their unique way of life. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, meet at the airport after custom formalities and transfer to the hotel. The city tour of Ulaanbaatar takes you through some of the principal sights of this unique city. You visit the Gandan Monastery, Chinggis Khaan Monument on the Chinggis Khaan square and the Museum of National History. Overnight stay at the hotel.(L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we pack the vehicles and depart to the west toward Kharkhorin, the ancient capital city of Mongolia. We break our journey at the spectacular combination of sand dunes, rocky Mountains, and green meadows in Bayan Gobi and take 1 hour camel ride with professional camel guide. Experience the lifestyle of nomadic family in a traditional Mongolian ger , walk on sand dunes, and relax in beautifully serene nature. Overnight stay in a ger camp. (B,L,D)
Drive 70 km to the Great Mongolian empire’s ancient capital Kharakhorin in the 13th century. The city served as the Mongolian capital for over 40 years (until Khubilai Khaan moved it to Beijing). Chinese soldiers later destroyed most of the city in the 14th century.
And the remnants of the town were used to build the ErdeneZuu Monastery in the 16th century. Monastery Erdene Zuu, the first Buddhist monastery in Central Mongolia founded in 1586. After the fall of communism in 1990, the monastery was given to the lamas and Erdene Zuu became a place of worship again, where many pilgrims come to walk and gather their thoughts. The site was restored at the end of the century and almost found back its religious activity. Today, Erdene Zuu remains an active Buddhist monastery, and at the same time a museum open to travelers.Visit museum named Kharkhorin which is beautifully designed and well displayed. Hiking in the Great King`s monument hill where you can see over the Orkhon Valley.

We’ll head to the north for Lake Ogii via Khoshoo Tsaidam monument which is archeological findings of ancient Turkic empire in VI – VIII century. Arrive in Lake Ogii, check into ger camp, enjoy hiking along the lake shore. Overnight stay in a ger camp. (B,L,D)
After breakfast we drive to Tsenkher hot spring. In Arkhangai province there are many old volcanos, which explains the presence of this hot water source that flows all year long at 1860 metres (1,16 mile) above the sea level in the sum of Tsenkher. The water is at 85,5°C (185,9°F).Tsenkher hot springs have healing properties notably on articular diseases and nervous system’s diseases. Composition: sodium carbonate, hydrocarbonate, sulfate, fluorite, hydrogen sulfide.Arrive in hot spring, here you spend a night away from your road, in lodgings near the healing hot springs. Relax and reinvigorate. And enjoy a hot bath in the evening. Overnight stay in a ger camp. (B,L,D)
Drive to Hustai national park to watch Przewalskii horse. The wild horse`s Mongolian name is Takhi which means ‘’spirit of worship’ ’They are the only wild horse to survive in modern times and they have been reintroduced successfully to their homeland after 40 years of extinction.Hustai NP has diversity of the landscapes, and the variety of wildlife including red deer, corsac foxes, Siberian marmots and other numerous raptors such as black vultures, eagles and falcons.Optional hikes around the hill. After breakfast we drive back to Ulaanbaatar for 2 hours. After lunch we visit the Bogd Khaan’s Palace Museum – the residence of the last king of Mongolia and do some shopping if you want. In the evening enjoy famous cultural show in the city, which is featuring traditional performances by singers, dancers and contortionists. It’s a great chance to hear Khöömii (throat singing) and see some fabulous costumes. Farewell dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B,L,D)
You will be free at leisure in your hotel or wander around on your own until being escorted to the Chinggis Khaan International Airport or train station for your departure.
