Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur

Khorgo volcano – a dead volcano (2240m high) covered with basalt is easy to climb. Interesting bubbles of solidified lava named “Basalt ger” containing sometimes ancient rock paintings. From the crater you have a good view to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur which is rich of fish and different birds are breeding here. As the lake is 2060 above sea level, it is frozen until June.
